30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 20-What I Read
I mainly prefer online resources for current news or crafting tutorials over newspapers and magazines, but as far as books, I think this stack here is a good representation of the range of topics I like to read. Books about artists and their art. I love to learn the history and life stories of ones that I admire like Van Gogh and Dali. These books in particular intersperse their life stories, with a chronocological view of how their art progressed from beginning to end. Cookbooks…I don’t know if this seems odd to you but I love browsing cookbooks and reading especially the tips usually in the margin, or the basics and shopping suggestions on what to keep in the pantry. UltimatelyI’m looking for the next recipe I want to try! Finally, my Twilight series. I have always loved vampire (dracula) movies. From Once Bitten (1985-Jim Carrey), to Lost Boys (1987-Kiefer Sutherland), to Dracula 2000 (2000-Gerard Butler), to Underworld (2003). For good measure, I’ll also throw in my favorite horror movie that has the werewolf angle in it Company of Wolves (1984-Micha Bergese). Yes I am still on Eclipse but I’ve already seen and have the 3 movies so far. I unlike most, prefer to see the movie before I read the book. I like having the overview visuals of the movie and then reading the book for all the ‘details’ they didn’t have time to show in the movie. 🙂

your artbooks makes me drool! Homer Simpson style!
If you like vampire movies I suppose you’ve already seen Interview with a Vampire..Have you seen Let the right one in? Haven’t seen the american version, only the Swedish one. The film is pretty good, slightly slow sometimes though. Actually found it better than the book 😉

Thank you for the comment! I’ve been pretty lucky to find artbooks like those in the photo at yard sales. I have found many others besides these actually. I’ve never seen that movie…I’ll need to look it up now. Recently, I was reminded of a movie made in 1979 ‘Dracula’ with Frank Langella that I watched on Sunday that I absolutely love! I recommend that one 🙂
