5 Affordable Valentines Day Gifts
Maybe this year you’ve decided to take part in valentines day for your loved ones. Normally, my hubs and I randomly get small gifts here and there for each other throughout the year. No expectations just nice little treats for each other I think as a nice little surprise. However, this year I’d like to take part and get into the spirit to make this valentines day something special. So affordability is key, having just gone through the whirlwind of Christmas Present Debt! Ha! So to share some affordable gift ideas for this coming Valentines day, here are my top 5 affordable valentines day gift ideas!
Favorite Candy
A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. So needless to say more of these top 5’s are food centric! Food is practical and always loved as a gift. So to narrow it down, I’d like to give a small gift of his favorite candy is key! So I’ve got a hubs and a kiddo, whose favorite candy both happen to be skittles so I found these cute little hearts filled with skittles at Rite-Aid for valentines day. Skittles Hearts: 2 for $2.00. I’m going to add some small $10 Gift cards from Amazon to them for a special treat.
Gift of Jewelry
If you’re shopping for your female partner, some women really like jewelry. There is a company called Blue Nile, who have ‘build your own’ ring builders on their website that look really well built to me in playing around with them for a while. This is good because anyone with a budget can pick and choose elements to their taste and their budget. So many styles, I built a few rings myself that are below $500 that appear to be great quality. If you are not a ring wearer, Blue Nile also has a variety of diamond and gemstone jewelry if you need other options.

Gift of Memories
Plan a small getaway for just you and your partner, or your family to celebrate your appreciation for each other. A day trip somewhere, or make reservations at the best restaurant in town that you would never go to normally and treat yourself. The affordable part, is making sure ahead of time what the pricing is and decide on the restaurant based on that and if there is any food there you know they will like of course.
Dinner and a Movie
Food again, but you know…tis life! Dinner and a movie is a good inexpensive outing to spend time together. If you don’t agree on movies normally, well maybe set that aside and you can pick a movie you know your partner will like. Small sacrifice sitting in a chair for 2 hours getting slapped in the face with a ‘bored’ but worth it cause you care about them right?
Take Over Chore Day(s)
This may not sound like much, but practical virgo me, would love to have the gift of a small break from my usual chores which are grocery trips and laundry. Doesn’t cost a thing! …and could decide to take over for just one day or maybe even valentines day week if you want.
Conclusion
Take a moment to appreciate your family by getting them a small token of gratitude or do something for them that shows them you appreciate all that they do. Let valentines day be a reminder to at least tell your loved ones you care about them and are happy that they are in your life! What are you doing for valentines day?
