Birthday Haul from Michaels
Birthday money burning a hole in my pocket!…so I thought i’d take a quick trip to Michaels and spend a bit.
They had some 50% off deals today, and I had a 50% off coupon as well that I took along to use.
50% off Canson drawing books today and i’ve been wanting another one to start a ‘scrap journal’ or as they are called now adays, junk journals. So I got a drawing one rather than a sketch one cause the pages are much heavier. Spiral bound as well to help the book close better should the pages get really thick. The Gesso, I got because I saw a video where a person making a journal painted this onto the paper first before she was able to stamp and paint onto her page. This is used as a base. Thought i’d give it a try to be able to try spray inking the paper.
The Black Recollections paper was on sale, but they didn’t have 8.5 x 11 so I instead grabbed some 5.5 x 7.5 paper. This is by far the best, deepest color black paper that I’ve seen on the market. Some black paper has a faded greyish color. So I recommend this brand if you want a nice rich black paper.
These three punches were in the clearance rack. Regular price $12.99 on sale for $5.00 a piece! I was going to ‘choose’ one but knew it was a good deal so decided on all three.
This replacement cutting strip was also in the clearance. I have this cutter, and at regular price of $12.99…I knew I would only buy a replacement at $4 which is what this was 🙂
These small crystal stickers…they were all on a rack…regular price they are $1.00…they were on sale for 50 cents a piece 🙂
I thought this would make nice post-it pad cover embellishments.
This wrapping paper was in their dollar bin.
These teardrop rhinestone brads were in the clearance for $1.00
A good day at Michaels!
