Finished Neck Scarf – Self Critique
I’m finished with my buttoned neck scarf. It definetly came out like I envisioned it, but now that it’s done and looking at it honestly I do have some things I wish I would have done differently. My goal for it was to be a cross between a scarf and a cowl. With buttons, you don’t have to lift it over your head (messing up your hair like a cowl) and it ‘will’ stay on your neck right where you put it! However, my regret is the color choice because I fear it looks like a neck brace! 🙂
These buttons were exactly what I had in mind, and Michaels tonight had exactly two left of them on their rack, so you know I got both of them. I originally thought i’d only put one button on the scarf, but with it’s width, I felt it just needed two.
I think my first attempt yields some good things. So next, I am going to try a different color yarn. I have a lighter weight, dusty green yarn I got this past january that I think might work. It will definetly look and drape differently because of the lighter weight yarn, so right now, I’m all about experimenting until I get the right look.
As for the headless model, I’m sure you figured out its my dress form… but I must say it makes a better model than myself 🙂
Any constructive criticism appreciated!
