Money Gift Idea: Money to burn
Had a last minute idea for this money gift I had for my nephews birthday today. Luckily my mom rolls her own cigarettes and she was nice enough to spare a few and an empty actual pack to put them in. Here is how I did it.
First i noticed the filters were pretty long being 100s so I cut off about half an inch from the bottom white part so the dollar would peek out just a bit at the end.
I then took a bamboo skewer and rolled the dollars as tight as I could so they were small enough to fit into the tubes.
I kept going but only managed to fit 18 in the pack. So I rolled up the remaining couple bucks to cover the label on the back stuck in between the plastic cover and opened my photoshop for the front.
I luckily found an image of the front of the brand I was using to rework the design. Using the band aid tool I removed the logo that was on the front and found a font that was close and I put ‘Money’ for the large logo and the subline says ‘To Burn’ Ha!
I saved and printed the image the same size as the front…cut it out…and put it under the plastic that was on the pack still that seemed to fit perfectly!
If you do not have an actual cigarette box to put them in, you can make one (which is what I was going to do) using this great tutorial for a flip top box from SplitCoastStampers.com.
I love giving money gifts in a ‘think outside the box’ kinda way!
