Not much in the way of ‘making’ anything at the moment. I’ve had this need to finally go through my craft room and really deep clean and organize all of it and today i finally finished!
Here are some pictures with descriptions of the areas.
Supply Hutch, Musical Equipment, Bookcase, Work TableScoring, Cutting Station, Cuttlebug, Embossing folders & Cutting Die’s, Embellishment drawers, Home Video cabinet, Dress formDresser that holds my gift wrapping supplies (bows, ribbon, wrapping paper, gift boxes), Folder holder, Cork Board, Rolling Office Supply drawers, Black Wire Storage cubes that holds various things such as blank cd and dvds and cases, bag that holds all my beading supplies. Then in front that I have to go through, there are boxes full of items I need to scrapbook and various magazine clippings to collage with.Sewing Machine and Cricket Expression Table. Underneath on the right you can see my quilting box.I have a folder holder to keep incomplete projects in. I also place in folders chosen photos for planned scrapbooking pages that I have in mind to make. Keeps pieces together so when I get inspired, I just take that folder and everything is there.I keep my embossing folders and cutting dies in 2 wire cd holders. The black cases are my nestabilities that I mounted with magnets inside some skinny dvd cases. Here you can see I labeled my embossing folders so at a glance I can pick what I need.I put the packaging picture with the instructions inside the outer sleeve.Art markers and pencil case, MS Score Board, Fiskars rotary cutter, Cuttlebug Embossing Machine
This looks a little messy close up, but I can’t think of a better way. On the left and the bottom shelf of the bookcase is my musical equipment electric and acoustic guitars, violin, mic stand, 16 track recorder (on left not shown), tapes. Then in the bookcase, I have my 8.5 x 11 paper organized into magazine holders and labeled. On second shelf i put into matching boxes all photographs, slides, negatives. The magazine rack hold some of my old sketch pads that I want to scan and post here on my blog sometime soon.
I organized my paper by white, black, neutrals, pastels, primary, design, unique (watercolor, etc.), paper theme books, and construction. I think this will work better than having it in a drawer that unfortunately my 12 x 12 won’t fit in this bookshelf I have to keep it in my hutch drawers but it isn’t too bad. At least it’s separated.
I prefer clear acrylic stamps since they are easier to store in binders, however sometimes I come across wood stamps that I like. I used to have my wood stamps in a small box, but it was hard to see what i had. I’ve had this shelf in my basement for about 5 years. I kept it cause I love that it’s unique but didn’t know where to put it. I think this is a perfect use for it.
The open section are for items needed readily, my label maker, the brown battery box, some embellishment boxes, 3 labeled binders with stickers, die-cuts, and stamps, and binders that have some completed scrapbooking pages in them. The bottom portion of my supply hutch holds from left column to right, Scraps, Stencils and page refills, alterable items, and my 12 x 12 design and solid paper. The top open portion holds things that little 3 year old hands can’t reach but still keeps them within my reach.Decorative and normal scissors, foam brushes, photo corners, mod podge, rulers.Punches, cutting tools, and acrylic blocksButton jars, thread and crochet stringSelf-Stamper, Stamping Ink, Xacto knife / blades in flowered box, magnets (straw box), flowers
And last but certainly not least…
…my snack cabinet and fridge! Gotta have a refreshment area 🙂
Hi ya, Just had a look at your pics, very well arranged, now just need you to get on a flight to the UK (bring the family) and then you can help me get my crafts sorted!!!!! Hope all is well.
Hi Amanda! 😀 Hehe well it took about 5 days to get through everything! I highly recommend it though. I’m making a sign for my son’s birthday now and it already feels more efficient just knowing where all my supplies are. 😀
