November Update and Post Ideas
Bendy Birthday came and went. Here is a preview of the cupcake toppers.
Slowly gathering the details and pictures to post about that.
Halloween came and went…kiddo wanted to be Bendy so preparing a post on how I made the costume.
In the middle of making a bendy plushy…and boy, Minky is a hard fabric to sew on a sewing machine! So needless to say, that has come to a stand still until i figure out how the heck i’m going to sew it together. I have a pattern i’m going to share on that as well. Here is a preview of me cutting out the pieces.
So to feel at least some sort of accomplishment on my site, i’m posting a status of what all I have started at them moment.
Another post i have started is a retrospective on why i love Halloween, and a look at all the different costumes I’ve made and/or worn over the years. This year I decided to be a ghost but only as a backup plan to princess Amalthea from The Last Unicorn which I simply needed more time to perfect. So we’ll see if that comes together in future Halloweens!
Princess Amalthea – white hair (i used for ghost this year) and purple dress (i needed time to make a corset for purple dress i bought)
Another thing I did in October, is treated myself to trying out Trunk Club. The clothes are expensive, but that is why i’m calling it a treat ’cause i was curious how ‘quality’ the expensive clothes are seeing some in person. I’ll post my review, but I’ll tell you now I came away with the feeling that clothes aren’t something I want to ‘invest’ in….they can’t be if you really think about it. Fashion styles are in and out so fast there isn’t any keeping up and it’s expensive to do that for most people (me included). So I prefer to try to find clothes that are at least to me timeless looking and not ‘too’ trendy. Like the two items I decided to keep were a cardigan and leggings of all things. Ha!
So today I ‘didn’t let perfection be the enemy of good’ and wrote a post on my blog! So even though this post isn’t perfect, that feeling of accomplishment and meeting a goal is the good feeling that keeps you going. That mindset could apply to any goals you might have as well so I encourage you to go meet your goals…don’t let perfection be what stops you!
