Organize Fabric Scraps In Photo Boxes
My own collection of fabric scraps (along with my accumulation of fabric from this summers yard sales!) made me hanker down this weekend to start organizing my fabric scraps by color to get them under ‘some kind’ of control! Michaels recently had a great deal on these white photo boxes ($1.66 a piece). So I picked up a handful not knowing specifically what i was going to use them for but knowing i would for something. I pic the white ones for a clean look sitting all in a row on my shelves.
Here is a box with all my red/pink scraps.
Here is what I started with…ugh! Tubs of mixed who knows what! In going through them all, I was able to know what i have and get rid of some I know i never was going to use.
I folded them nicely into the box and then put a piece of colored card stock in the label plate.
In going through all my fabric, it was apparent to me however, that blue must be my favorite color of fabric as you can see from the picture below of all the blue i’ve accumulated! These will not fit in a photo box (would need 4 just for these!) so these are going right back into a tub all their own! Feels good to be organized though.
By the way, just wanted to mention as well, that this is my 200th post on my blog! Thank you to everyone who visits my blog! I hope you find some inspiration and i encourage you to continue finding time to be creative!
