Okay, so I spoiled myself a bit over vacation this past week so I thought i’d share what I gathered.
Can't pass up sales and clearance items!AC Moores: Cricut Cartridge bundle, paper punch, color core paper and multi-color chipboardThis is special paper that has 2 different colors in it when embossed, the other color shows through.I've been looking for a good deal on chipboard and this seemed to be in with 3 colors in a pack for $10AC Moores this week is selling a 4 cartridge bundle pack for $50 and I luckily got one. Here is some paper I got 4 for $1 at Ben Franklins. The glitter pens were a dollar a piece I think they were used for classes, so they are used but I thought I'd get them just to try them out at that price I can get some use out of them to see if I like them.I heard that Big Lots has a scrapbooking section so I thought i'd see what was there. This is what $13 dollars looks like. Some Martha Stewart ribbon, some little tipped embroidery scissors for detailed paper cutting, a martha stewart walnut ink pad, and some metallic paper that I really like embossing with after my bookmark. These were a few yard sale finds totaling $5I'm always looking for interesting boxes in good condition to hold things, and came across this set for $3. Alligator skin texture outside in different shades of brown, and the insides look completely unused. Thought they were unique.I recently was on a blog where someone used metal window screen for an embossing texture and it worked. Now I keep my eyes open to see about trying other things for embossing and I was curious if doilies would work so I picked up this bag full of them for a buck. I haven't tried it yet so I'll post when I do to share my results. After I got this for 50 cents, I saw it at another yard sale full of silverware for $3. It's a silverware holder but I'm using it now for readily available pens, markers, glue sticks, etc. I'm debating painting it but I like how shiny silver it is. Not sure yet. These good sized glass jars were a quarter a piece and thought they would look really nice on one of my craft shelves. I could even run them through the diswasher, fill them with candy, embellish them a bit and give them as a gift.
This week, I’m expecting a package from scrapbuck.com. Check back as I will be writing a review on my experience with them. So far the only thing I don’t like is I haven’t received a tracking number. I don’t believe they provide them.
