Triple Thin Yarn Loom Knitted Scarf
I have ALOT of thinner yarn (lower guage) stored away right now. Since I prefer to make scarves out of thicker ‘wool ease’ type yarn to make nice plush scarves out of…then a duh moment hit me after I got these 3 skeins of thin yarn at Walmart the other week. I could try to loom knit three strands at once and it worked just fine.
I got each of these on clearance and I have enough it seems to make another scarve out of the same skein. You can see how thin the yarn is. I just took an end from each 3 skiens, and began to wrap all three yarns across my loom like normal, and it worked out great.
This opens a can of worms for me because now I can start mixing thinner skeins of yarn I have together for more eclectic color schemes.
It’s also inspiring me to start my vertical crochet blanket over again (which isn’t coming out too well) to instead loom knit two strands together in really long 6 or 8 inch width stripes that I could then crochet seam together all the knitted strips to make a blanket! More on that idea later. I think I’m going to start that tonight.
