Update on Yard Sale and Sale Finds
I’ve been lazing at taking pictures of all the great things i’ve been finding since about mid July!
So here is a run down of some of the great deals I’ve found since then.
Wal-Mart: Great deal on yarn. $1.50 a piece. Reg. $3.47
I LOVE how soft this yarn is, and I love the colors. I had an idea to use 3 skeins of the thinner yarn at once and see if I can loom knit it together into something. Thinner yarn is sometimes cheaper than the thicker yarn and if this works, it will open doors for me to mixing and matching some thinner yarn I already have on hand into some great scarves for the winter.
What I ACTUALLY went to wal mart for though was a glue gun. I’m a crafter and I didn’t even HAVE a glue gun! Got this great model that has a ‘precision tip’.
Joann: Material for a rag quilt I’m planning.
The denim I was lucky enough to find on clearance, and the flannel I bought one of the better quality one they had since it was on sale, and I didn’t want it to fuzz up too quickly like some of the cheaper ones do. It’s for my kid’s bed, so I want it to last a long time and something he can keep from me.
Yard sale: New Heat tool, pipe cleaners, a few containers of embossing powder, tinsel and flock, and a couple cds.
Gotta pick this up when you find it because some of these jars retail can be 3 bucks..I got each of these for 50 cents a piece!
Yard Sale: These finds I got this past Saturday squeezing in a couple yard sales before I had to leave on a trip. I wish I had more time to look but this is what I managed to grab. Pretty fabric for a dollar…looks like a couple yards, 1 and a half packs of heat and bond for 1.25, two bag patterns for $1, some sharpies in mixed colors for $1.50, and a couple movies for a dollar a piece!
and this pretty bauble for 50 cents to add to my costume jewelry collection that I plan on making a monogrammed picture frame of the letter ‘J’ out of. Too pretty not to pick up!
I keep saying it but now I’m done buying for a while…I just now need to sit down and start working on all these backlogs of projects i’m planning to do!
