This song comes From The Vault — my unreleased collection of music that doesn’t follow my usual heavy, gritty style. Sometimes I write something softer, stranger, or just different, and rather than letting it sit on my hard drive, I want to share it here.

‘First Light In Our Hands’ came from a collaboration idea from my mother and sister. They asked me if I could make a song like the Carpenters since that is the style of music that they gravitate towards and love. Challenge accepted!

I made this song since I also do like some songs in that style myself (Anne Murray, Carpenters, Neil Diamond). However, because it’s so different from my normal YouTube music, it didn’t feel like it ‘fit’ in with all the other songs I post. So this Vault is for songs like this! Enjoy!
