Crazy Quilt

I want to start by saying, this is not my quilt. My mother in law sent me some pictures of the crazy quilt-as-you-go she is working on and really wanted to share it because I think it’s really great.

Here are the pieces. Top, batting, and backing fabric.

Here is another view of the pieces fit on top of each other for pre-sewing.

Here is a close up of fancy stitching of all 3 layers.

Here are two completed blocks with a finished edge.

Here is a view from the back.  These pieces quilted as you go allows you to finish the quilt much quicker than finishing a top as a whole, then piecing together the rest.  

This will definetly be my next quilt project.
