What’s on your craft table right now?
For me, it’s the beginning of my new quilt design! I’m calling it ‘Antoinette’s Labyrinth’.
The first half of the name comes from the sample pack that I purchased from Connecting Threads of Fat Eighths.
I came up with the pattern next, and discovered I had just enough fabric with those fat eighths and some coordinating solids from my solid stacks I bought to make a top measuring 48 x 63. I think the hardest part for me will be figuring out how much of everything I need, but this feels like it progressed easily since the design uses simple meandering 3 inch squares. Some of the bolder colors in this pack are out of my comfort zone, so this being my third quilt ever…never to early to start and stretching I suppose.
Here is a close up of some of the lighter shades in the quilt. I hope to have a nice balance of lights, medium and darks in this quilt for the effect of the pattern i’m going for. You can see the piles from left to right in the first picture. Will continue to post my progress.
