Wow I realized that March really wasn’t a great month for updates so I thought i’d sum it up in one end ‘o’ the month wrap up.
My First Craft Fair Results
Well, I’m glad I did it but the craft fair might not have been a good indication of ‘what to make’ for a craft fair’ since it wasn’t really the only thing going on that day. It took place in a store that had other sales going on so people that came in for those sales, the craft fair was really secondary. People looked but didn’t really buy. I only sold $16 dollars and all on bookmarks!
Another thing to note about the craft fair. On the friday before I had to come home sick from work with a really bad cold and I couldn’t even GO on saturday! All that work and I didn’t even get to go!
With the left overs, I figured I would wait until this years yard sale and put them out then…or i’ll see about putting them in my own online store here on my site.
Decided on a different design for my crochet blanket I’ve been working on. I started to put the dark brown yarn in it and realized I really liked the light colors more. Since it was too far gone to rip out and start again, I thought I’d get out of my comfort zone, and actually do an ‘asymetrical’ design. So I had two thin rows, then I made a thicker row to accent the one side. Now for the rest of the 40 inches of blanket I plan on adding, I’m going to continue with just the lighter yarns in the same pattern. I’m hoping for the best on this direction. In the picture, this is the left side of the blanket. I’ll be continuing the lighter colors to the right of the dark brown.
Well, after the craft fair item creation process, I took a step back and realized my room was in a bit of shambles! So I spent alot of this month trying to re-organize and put my craft room back in order again.
In going through my things, I’m actually bringing myself to get rid of some stuff I bought but know I’ll never use.
Other things I’m considering making a better use of space and moving to our storage room. Some of my musical equipment and music books will clear out another shelf that I’ll be able to put more supplies onto which is my ultimate goal right now.
Working on Updating My Online Store
Last week, I realized I never finished adding the rest of the digital paper products to my online store. I decided instead of packs, I thought i’d setup my digital paper for digital scrapbookers to be buyable per piece. That way people can only buy what they like.
Right now I have 3 collections of papers designed. I’m finishing adding the 2 other collections today. I hope to add more designs throughout the year. At least one or two per month. I hope to also try some embellishments as well.
Last but not least, my kid wanted to be a part of my crocheted blanket picture…
Ahh…boys will be boys. 😀
