Today’s Knifty Knitter is Yesterday’s Spool Loom
When I was little my grandmother (who I appreciate that she taught me how to embroider 🙂 , brought over a spool loom.

I remember we used embroidery thread and she showed me how to wrap the thread and then I think I remember we used a very thin crochet needle to make the rows. The only thing I remember making was a really long tube that we knotted off and she formed the tube into a spiral and stitched it together to make a small rug for my doll house.
I totally forgot about this memory until I was at Michaels (with a 20% off entire purchase coupon burning a hole in my purse) and did my rounds in the store for anything on sale, and came across Knifty Knitter in the yarn section.
They had a round one with a couple different sizes which was $14, just to try it out I decided instead to get the rectangle one ($7) since I already had an idea to use some yarn I bought a few months ago to make a scarf with.
I’m going to try it out and post a review. 🙂
