Box for My Twilight Saga Pins

I had a Jacob pin left over (the movie was amazing by the way!) and I know someone who loves the Twilight series as well so I thought i’d give her the pin and make a coordinating box to go along with it.

Here is the completed twlight pin box that coordinates with the pin.

I didn’t measure for this project, so these are estimates on size to show you how I did it.

Here is a close up of the flourish stamp that I just love and the texture of the ink.
I cut two white 4 inch squares out of white cardstock. Mounted on a 20lb black paper for the inside of the box. I thought it would look better than white or inked.
I used my Tea Dye distress ink pad to brush on the texture. This is my favorite shade for a vintage look right now.
With my Jet Black Stazon ink, I used this larger flourish stamp which is from the same set that I used for the pin. It was large enough to accent the box width-wise.
I do love flourish stamps.
I then cut the score lines to the corners on opposing sides, folded all inwards, then used zots glue dots to adhere the box together.
Here is the completed one and one remaining. Both sides of the box are the same size, so when I glued the top of the box together, I made sure to fit them together to adjust the corners so that the top actually fit over the bottom BEFORE I glued the corners together.

All that was left (and you can see it in the finished picture) I took my 1/2 inch circle punch and cut a partial curve on both sides for finger grips to get the box apart easier.
