Enjoying the fresh air. Happy sunday everyone.
This is for any post that isn’t creative related. Status reports, updates, all that fall under the ‘etc’ category.
For a few days my website will look alittle goofy…broken…call it what you will! That is just me designing LIVE to the website for all to see! I’ll switch back to the previous theme in between ‘work sessions’…so bear with the rigmarole! Thank you for visiting my website! ~Jeannie
I know I’ve not been around for a while. To give you a quick update here are some things I’ve been working on. Getting ready for a craft fair this coming saturday. Scarves, scarves, and more scarves! I’m so far behind it’s not even funny. With a halloween party, to Hurricane Sandy, to being sick…just a(…)
My mother always finds the best deals it seems at yard sales when I’m not there! Of course she gets first dibs going to the sales on Fridays or even Thursdays when most people can’t go These bundles of fabric were all in a box. It included some quilts already made but were unfinished. I think(…)
It felt bittersweet but I decided that it was time to look into a new sewing machine and treated myself to a birthday present this year of a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960! I’ve had my Brother machine since 1990. I never had to get it repaired so it has been a great machine to me…but the(…)
I’ve been lazing at taking pictures of all the great things i’ve been finding since about mid July! So here is a run down of some of the great deals I’ve found since then. Wal-Mart: Great deal on yarn. $1.50 a piece. Reg. $3.47 I LOVE how soft this yarn is, and I love the(…)
I don’t recall ever knowing about Jet Max offering this different style of handles until I happened to have walked down that aisle at Michaels and saw that they were on clearance for a dollar a pack. Needless to say I bought all they had not knowing how many I would need. So here are(…)
Found some great things yard saleing last weekend: Mosaic pieces: 50 cents, jingle bells, pack of quilt charms, and embroidery floss all for 25 cents each, Ziploc bag of balls of yarn for a dollar. I have more yarn that I can even store but I liked the colors in this bag, and 3 skeins of candlewick yarn(…)
Finally! I got my craft room painted and all back in at least enough to take some photos. Yet to do is paint my chairs in a consistant color. I’m still debating that one. Here is a link to the way my craft room looked before I painted. I went to Lowes, and found the(…)
1. I’m 90% done my craft room but haven’t put away all of the messes just yet to take a photo. Will do this weekend. 2. I dislike greatly (nice way of saying hate!) browser incompatibility! So right now i’m in the middle of taking my new design and putting it in a more flexible(…)
Here is a small sneak peek into my craft room re-do! Here is my ‘not cleaned yet’ hutch with the painted ceiling and walls. Feels like a cozy cottage and I like that. BUT…I only finished painting half the room so far…ugh! More progress coming soon!
Okay I know this is another craft supplies post, but now not only am I coming across deals at yard sales, but now family members are finding me to give their no longer wanted craft supplies too! How can you say no to such a gracious gift! Lets start with wooden stamps! My mother called(…)
Question. I went to a yard sale the weekend before last, and someone was selling a ton of scrapbooking stuff. I filled a bag and she gave me a price for the whole lot. So getting to my question…do you think this was worth $40? Here is what I grabbed: 12 x 12 Stack, 3(…)
Okay…I realize it’s the middle of January but I realized I never posted my resolutions for this year like I did last year. Achieving some of my list last year, I think I did pretty good. This year I have a list of projects that I want to note right now as ‘projects I have(…)
Wanted to post quickly to let you know I’m working on my site right now…so if your visiting and the design looks a little funny, this is why I’m working on a new design! So excited about it but the down side is some messed up layouts on my live site periodically. Thank you(…)
I want to first off thank anyone who purchased my items at my first craft fair and happened to have taken a card and decided to visit my blog Technically, it was my first craft fair I attended. My actual first one I got sick the day before so had to give my items to my mother in(…)
Birthday money burning a hole in my pocket!…so I thought i’d take a quick trip to Michaels and spend a bit. They had some 50% off deals today, and I had a 50% off coupon as well that I took along to use. 50% off Canson drawing books today and i’ve been wanting another one(…)
I only last minute decided on what to take for ‘in motion’ subject for today’s photo challenge subject. However, it is rather fitting…and on these hot summer days, this is a welcome breeze. Day 30! I made it! I only missed two days because I didn’t know at the time what the heck to post!(…)
Borders is going out of business so I took the opportunity to visit for any good deals on books. Found one on Drupal (Programming book on the Content Management System), Nikon D3100 book (i always thwarted myself from buying ‘dummies’ books but I gave in on this one…my new camera that i took this photo(…)
For me, this is a necessary evil in my life. Some people just aren’t born with the get up and go hair…it’s okay though…after all these years…i’ve made my peace LOL!
